Changes to Waste Prices from 1 July 2021

The waste disposal levy is about to increase from 1 July 2021 in an effort to reduce the increasing amount of rubbish ending up in New Zealand’s landfills. It will be charged at $20 per tonne on 1 July 2021. This rate will progressively increase each year to $60 per tonne in July 2024.
This change is the start of encouraging everyone to sort and reduce their waste. As waste prices go up and recycling options become lower by comparison, it will save you money to reduce your waste and separate your load so less ends up in landfills.

The good news is that metal (Does not include whiteware) brought to site will now be FREE and all other prices remain the same.
