Waiuku Tool Library grand opening!

The Waiuku Tool Library is an initiative from the Waiuku Community Workshop. The idea is that you can borrow tools as you would normally borrow a book from the library through a low cost subscription membership.

From an angle grinder, to a biscuit joiner.. if you need it, we should have it!

Sunday 29th November:

First inaugural Waiuku Repair Café.
We have repairers on hand to help with repair of garments and clothing, tool sharpening and small electrical appliances.
There will be a upcycling craft activity for children to participate in as well.
Repair Cafés are pop up events where people bring their broken and damaged belongings and local experts sit down with them and do their best to repair them. They are about bringing people together, connecting local people in their communities with others who are happy to share their skills and knowledge, saving people money and reducing the amount of material that ends up in our landfills.

Saturday 12th December:

With fun and activities for the whole family make sure you head down to Waiuku Town for hands on crafts for the kids, live music, food vendors and local market stall holders selling the perfect gifts for Christmas.
